Pryor Road Project Update – Section of Pryor Road Now Open

Pryor Road Project Update – Section of Pryor Road Now Open

The section of Pryor Road between Eagle View Drive and Scherer Road is now open. There is one lane of traffic open in each direction and lanes will be delineated with channelizers while construction continues. The Eagle View Drive intersection will be controlled by stop signs.  

The section of Pryor Road between Eagle Creek Drive and Eagle View Drive will remain closed for at least several more weeks. The detour route for Pryor Road remains Hook Road, Ward Road, and Longview Road while construction continues.

Improvements to the Pryor and Hook intersection are expected to begin later this summer. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2027.

City Crews Treating Streets Today, Monday, Jan. 22

The City’s crews are treating streets today, Monday, Jan. 22, after freezing rain impacted the Lee’s Summit area. Additional crews were called in early this morning, and primary streets are completed. Crews are currently working in secondary streets. Streets are slick and drivers should use caution. The City’s crews are scheduled to report at 7 p.m. to treat streets with salt as needed tonight, Thurs., Jan. 18, and overnight into Fri., Jan. 19. The City’s crews are treating streets today, Tuesday, Jan. 16. Crews will continue working until all primary, secondary and residential streets have been treated.
