City Crews Plowing and Treating Streets Today, Thurs., March 10

The City’s crews are plowing and treating primary and secondary streets today, Thurs., March 10, as snow falls. Two rounds of snow are expected, with the first round ending this afternoon and the second round starting this evening and ending early Friday, March 11. The Lee’s Summit area is still expected to receive 4-8 inches of snow.

Depending on the total snow accumulations, it may take crews 32.5-40 hours to plow and treat all streets after the snow has stopped falling. This storm is expected to be in the area until Friday morning.

Residents can help speed up the snow removal process by removing vehicles from streets.

The City will continue to monitor the weather and update its response as needed.
