Lee’s Summit Councilmembers Host District 1 Town Hall

The City of Lee’s Summit invites residents to a District 1 Town Hall with Councilmembers Mia Prier and Hillary Shields on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Raintree Lake Clubhouse, 825 SW Raintree Drive.

The come-and-go event will give residents an opportunity to connect directly with City leaders, discuss ideas, learn about upcoming projects and services, and share feedback on community needs. Topics will include City initiatives, ongoing projects and City services that impact the daily lives of residents.

Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, share perspectives and take part in meaningful conversations about the future of Lee’s Summit.

The Town Hall will be streamed live on Youtube.com/cityofls.

The Lee's Summit Fire Department will be testing the voice messaging capability of a new Outdoor Warning Siren behind Fire Headquarters on Friday, May 27, 2022, around Noon. The new siren provides coverage for the downtown area and is capable of live and prerecorded voice messages in addition to the traditional storm siren.

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 4:51 p.m., the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 4300 Block of NE Walnut Ridge. An occupant in the house reported smoke coming from the roof and attic. When the fire department arrived, light smoke was visible from the attic and roof of a two-story, single-family residence.
