City Hosts Virtual Community Workshops to Shape the Future

City Hosts Virtual Community Workshops to Shape the Future

The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a series of virtual community workshops Feb. 16 through Feb. 18, where residents and key stakeholders will have the opportunity to discuss the City’s comprehensive plan – Ignite! Fuel Our Future. The virtual workshops will begin at 6 p.m. and focus on land use and community design, a key component of the comprehensive plan as the City considers future growth and development.

The City’s updated comprehensive plan will guide economic development, residential growth and general improvements for the next 20 years. Through these interactive workshops, the community is encouraged to offer input on the plan and influence the future of Lee’s Summit.

The City is using Zoom to host the online meetings. For those with limited computer access, a dial-in by phone option is available. Participants must register for a workshop at IgniteOurFuture.net to receive a link to the Zoom meeting. Each workshop will have the same format for discussion.

For additional information about the Ignite Comprehensive Plan, visit IgniteOurFuture.net.
