Southwest Third Street Intersection Closures Begin Nov. 17

Southwest Third Street Intersection Closures Begin Nov. 17

Work is beginning on the second phase of the Third Street Improvements project, which will close access to and from Southwest Third Street for all streets north of the project area beginning Nov. 17. This includes Southwest Murray Road, Southwest Yost Avenue, Southwest Pinnell Drive, Southwest Sunset Drive, Southwest Oak Street, Southwest Craigmont Drive and Southwest Second Street. Residents on the north side of the project area should access their streets via Southwest Pryor Road, Southwest O’Brien Road or Southwest Murray Road. There is no change for residents on the south side of the project area.

The eastbound lanes of Southwest Third Street from Southwest Pryor Road to Southwest Murray Road will remain closed, while one westbound lane of Southwest Third Street will remain open. The eastbound Southwest Third Street detour remains south on Southwest Pryor Road, east on Southwest Longview Road, and north on Southwest Ward Road.

Due to ongoing utility conflicts, both the north and south sides of Southwest Murray Road at Southwest Third Street will remain closed through the end of December.

Residents should use caution while driving in the project area. All construction is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change. For more information about the Third Street Improvements project, contact Public Works at 969-1800 or email publicworks@cityofls.net.
