LSPR Announces Dates and Theme for the Annual Father-Daughter Dances

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the official dates and details for next year’s beloved Father-Daughter Dances. A long-standing community tradition, the event provides a magical evening for fathers and daughters to celebrate their bond through music, dining, and unforgettable moments.

This year’s theme, “Wicked,” will transform the venue into an enchanting, Oz-inspired atmosphere, complete with themed décor, photo opportunities, and special touches that bring the story’s magic to life.

2026 Event Dates 
Friday, January 30, for daughters 3+
Saturday, January 31, for daughters 3+
Friday, February 6, for daughters 3+
Saturday, February 7, for daughters 3+
Friday, February 27, for daughters 3+
Saturday, February 28, for daughters 3+

Ticket Price
Tickets are $35 per person.

What Your Ticket Includes
Guests will enjoy a fully curated experience featuring:
Catered Dinner and Drinks: A complete buffet dinner is provided, with the final menu to be announced closer to the event date.
Professional Photographs: Each couple receives one printed 5×7 photo mailed directly to their home after the event. All event photos will also be available online for free digital download.
Goodie Bag and Flower: Each daughter, the guest of honor, will receive a themed goodie bag and a flower as a keepsake of the evening.

Event Timeline for Dances Ages 3+
5:45 p.m. – Doors open; professional photos begin
6:00 p.m. – Dinner buffet opens
6:00–9:00 p.m. – DJ-led dancing, music, and games
8:45 p.m. – Final dance of the evening
As families depart, daughters will receive their goodie bags and flowers.

Event Timeline for the Sunday, February 1st dance for Ages 3 and under
1:45 pm – Doors open
2:00 pm – Event begins with dancing and play
- Throughout the Event – professional photos, activity room access
- Activity Room Open – Coloring, sticker bar, toddler crafts, and quiet play options
4:00 pm – Event concludes
Daughters pick up their goodie bags and flowers as they head home

 LSPR looks forward to welcoming families for a wonderfully “Wicked” evening of celebration and connection.
