Northwest Colbern Road Improvements Project Traffic Changes Set for Friday, June 14

Update 6/13/24: These traffic changes are delayed until next Wednesday, June 19.

Phase one of the Northwest Colbern Road Improvements project is nearing completion, and phase two traffic changes are set to begin on Friday, June 14.

The section of Northwest Colbern Road from approximately Missouri Route 350 to east of the roundabout at NW Blue Parkway is set to reopen, and a section of Northwest Colbern Road between the roundabout and Northeast Douglas Street is set to close. Drivers will use Missouri Route 350 to access the west end of Northwest Colbern Road, and Northeast Douglas Street to access the east end of Northwest Colbern Road. The detour route remains Northeast Douglas Street, Interstate 470, and Missouri Route 350.

Northwest Blue Parkway between Interstate 470 and the roundabout at Northwest Colbern Road is also set to reopen on Friday, June 14.

Phase one project closures originally began on Sept. 5, 2023. Northwest Colbern Road from Missouri Route 350 to Northeast Douglas Street will remain closed to through traffic until spring 2025.

All schedules are weather permitting and are subject to change.

A section of Northeast Rice Road between Northeast Colbern Road and Northeast Mulberry Street is set to close daily beginning Tuesday, April 29, and will last through the end of the week. Beginning Monday, April 21, the section of Southwest Third Street between Southwest Blue Parkway and Southwest Jefferson Street will be open to one-way eastbound only thru traffic and will be closed to westbound traffic until approximately November 2025.
