Refreeze Likely Overnight into Thursday, February 13, as Crews Continue Plowing and Treating Streets

The City’s crews continue plowing and treating streets tonight, Wednesday, February 12. Primary streets are nearly complete. Crews will continue working in secondary streets overnight into Thursday, February 13, and then will move into residential streets. Refreezing is likely overnight and crews may need to re-treat primary streets; however, extremely cold temperatures may reduce the salt treatment’s effectiveness. Drivers should use caution overnight and during the early morning commute, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.

Residents can help by moving vehicles from streets if possible. Vehicles parked on streets significantly slow progress and impact how much snow can be plowed from streets.
