Additional Pryor Road Project Closures Set to Begin April 6 and April 13

Beginning Monday, April 6, the intersection of Eagle View Drive and Pryor Road will be closed through mid-June 2026. Drivers should use Eagle Creek Drive as the designated detour route.

Beginning Monday, April 13, Longview Road will close at Pryor Road for approximately 30 days. Sections of Pryor Road will also be closed to traffic between 3rd Street and Hook Road. Detours will be in place, with Longview Road traffic redirected to Ward Road, 3rd Street and Longview Boulevard, and Pryor Road traffic routed to Hook Road, Ward Road and 3rd Street.

If inclement weather occurs on April 6, the Eagle View Drive closure will be postponed to the next available fair-weather day that week.

Sections of Pryor Road will remain closed to traffic between Longview Road and Hook Road through mid-June 2026. Throughout this phase of construction, both eastbound and westbound lanes of Scherer Road will remain open. Improvements at the Scherer Road and Pryor Road intersection were completed in fall 2025.

Improvements at the Hook Road and Pryor Road intersection are expected to begin in summer 2026, followed by work along Pryor Road between Eagle View Drive and Hook Road. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2027.

Daytime closures are permitted through Nov. 8, and accommodations will be made for buses. This work is for the emergency replacement of a sanitary sewer lateral. A section of Southeast Fourth Street between Southeast Douglas and Southeast Green streets is set for daily closures beginning Monday, Nov. 4, and work is permitted for approximately three weeks. The closures are necessary for a fire line installation from a water main to a building, and the street is expected to be plated each night. The detour route includes Southeast Green Street, Southeast Fifth Street, and Southeast Douglas Street.

A section of Southeast Third Street between Southeast Douglas Street and Southeast Grand Avenue is set to close to thru traffic on Monday, Nov. 4, and will remain closed until early February 2025. The closure is necessary for work associated with the Green Street project. The detour route includes Southeast Grand Avenue, Southeast Second Street, and Southeast Douglas Street.

A section of Northwest O’Brien Road between Southwest Ward Road and Southwest Second Street is set to close to thru traffic on Monday, Oct. 28, for approximately three weeks. The detour route includes Southwest Ward Road and Southwest Second Street. Water main work will take place between Northwest Donovan Road and Northwest Monroe Street.
