A section of Southwest Second Street between Southwest Noel and Market streets is set to close on Monday, Feb. 3, for one week. The closure is necessary for rehabilitation to failing sanitary sewer manholes located in the street. The detour route includes Southwest Noel Street, Southwest Third Street, and Southwest Market Street.

 

The City's crews are preparing for potential freezing rain tonight, Saturday, Jan. 11, and overnight into Sunday, Jan. 12. The City’s crews have been working for several days to dig out after one of the largest snow storms on record. Crews were completing residential streets this morning, and are working to widen lanes and turn lanes on primary and secondary streets. The City's crews are set to continue plowing and treating residential streets today, Wednesday, Jan. 8, and overnight into Thursday, Jan. 9. Crews are 47% complete with residential streets, and 71% complete overall. Snow and ice will remain packed to pavements due to cold temperatures, but sunshine should help with melting. Crews are expected to continue working on clean up on Friday, Jan. 10.
