Crews Plowing and Treating Streets Today, Saturday, Jan. 24

The City’s crews finished pre-treating streets last night before the snow started, and they are plowing and treating primary streets while snow is falling this morning Saturday, Jan. 24. If snow remains light, they will move into secondary streets. More snow is expected throughout the day today and overnight into Sunday, Jan. 25. Crews will continue plowing and treating streets.

While snow is falling, crews prioritize primary streets and then secondary streets. After accumulating snow ends, crews will plow and treat all streets.

The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response accordingly.

A section of Northeast Hagan Road between Northeast Strother Road and Northeast Jones Industrial Drive will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this week. The detour route includes Northeast Jones Industrial Drive, Northeast Independence Avenue, and Northeast Strother Road.

A section of Southeast Browning Street between Southeast Eighth Street and Southeast Blue Parkway is set to close on Monday, Jan. 19, for approximately two weeks. The hard closure is between Southeast Ninth Street and Southeast Blue Parkway. The detour route includes Southeast Douglas Street, Southeast Seventh Street, Southeast Green Street, and Southeast Eighth Street.

The detour route includes Southeast Greystone Drive, Southeast Third Street, Southeast Flagstone Drive, Southeast Lana Street and Southeast Fifth Street.
