Public Invited to NE Douglas Street Improvements “Meet the Contractor” Meeting

The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a “meet the contractor” meeting for the NE Douglas Street Improvements project from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in the Strother Conference Room in City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee’s Summit, Mo., 64063. The meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the NE Douglas Street improvements from Chipman Road to 2nd Street and to meet the construction contractor, Pyramid Contractors Inc. Construction is expected to start in mid-September 2026.

Project exhibits and construction timelines will be available.

Project improvements include pavement replacement, sidewalks, shared use path, curb improvements, water line replacement, storm drainage upgrades, street lighting and tree planting.
