City Crews Continue Second Round of Plowing and Treating Residential Streets

The City’s crews are continuing a second round of plowing and treating residential streets today, Friday, January 10, and will be plowing and treating primary streets again as needed due to the additional snow overnight.

Sunshine, salt and traffic has broken up the snow and ice pack after the first round of plowing and treating, and there are slushy conditions on many residential streets. This second round of plowing and treating will attempt to clean up the slush as well as additional snow from last night. However, the City does not have a bare pavement policy and does not clear all snow and ice from streets. READ MORE -->

The City’s crews have been working for several days to dig out after one of the largest snow storms on record. Crews were completing residential streets this morning, and are working to widen lanes and turn lanes on primary and secondary streets. Due to the amount of snow and cold temperatures, crews will begin working through residential streets for a second time to attempt to clean up snow left behind after streets were plowed and treated. With more snow in the forecast for tonight, crews may have to return to primary streets overnight. READ MORE -->

City Crews Set to Continue Plowing and Treating Residential Streets

The City's crews are set to continue plowing and treating residential streets today, Wednesday, Jan. 8, and overnight into Thursday, Jan. 9. Crews are 47% complete with residential streets, and 71% complete overall. Snow and ice will remain packed to pavements due to cold temperatures, but sunshine should help with melting. Crews are expected to continue working on clean up on Friday, Jan. 10.

City Crews Set to Continue Plowing and Treating Residential Streets Overnight into Wednesday, Jan. 8

The City’s crews plowed and treated residential streets today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, and are set to continue plowing and treating residential streets overnight into Wednesday, Jan. 8. Crews are 21% complete with residential streets, and 56% complete overall.  Parked vehicles on streets are slowing progress. Residents can help the snow control process by moving vehicles and other obstructions from streets.

The City’s crews are plowing and treating residential streets today, Tuesday, January 7. Crews are 100% complete with primary and secondary streets, and approximately 7% complete with residential. Overall as of 7 a.m. this morning, crews were 48% complete with snow operations. Crews will be working around the clock today and into tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, to plow and treat all residential streets.
