City Crews Continue Second Round of Plowing and Treating Residential Streets

The City’s crews are continuing a second round of plowing and treating residential streets today, Friday, January 10, and will be plowing and treating primary streets again as needed due to the additional snow overnight.

Sunshine, salt and traffic has broken up the snow and ice pack after the first round of plowing and treating, and there are slushy conditions on many residential streets. This second round of plowing and treating will attempt to clean up the slush as well as additional snow from last night. However, the City does not have a bare pavement policy and does not clear all snow and ice from streets. There will continue to be snow and ice packed to some pavements even after the second round of plowing and treating. Warmer temperatures over the next few days will help with additional melting.

Crews continue to urge residents to remove vehicles from streets. Crews thank you for your help and patience.
