City Crews Continue to Treat Roadways Today, Nov. 30

The City’s crews continue to treat roadways today, Saturday, Nov. 30 after a heavy band of snow pushed through the area later this morning leaving heavier snow on the north side of the City and a trace on the south side. Crews will work north to south to treat roadways covered in snow. Pavement temperatures are expected to be above freezing through the remainder of the day helping to melt any accumulated snow on the roadways.

The City’s crews have been plowing and treating residential streets throughout the day today, Friday, Feb. 18, and will continue overnight into Saturday, Feb. 19. As of 6 p.m. Friday, crews were 56% complete with residential streets. Lee’s Summit’s official snow total from the storm was 7.5 inches, which means it can take crews up to 40 hours after the snow stopped falling to plow and treat all streets in the city.
