Utility Work Along Southeast Second Street

Utility Work Along Southeast Second Street

A utility contractor is completing work along the south side of Southeast Second Street between Southeast Main Street and the alley behind the City Hall parking garage which will require the closure of sidewalk and two alleys, and the closure of Southeast Douglas Street at Southeast Second Street. Work will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is permitted from now until November 26. As a condition of permit approval, operations along Southeast Second Street will be phased one side of Southeast Douglas Street at a time and Southeast Douglas Street will remain open throughout until it is required to connect the new line. An update will be provided when Southeast Douglas Street at Southeast Second Street is expected to close.
