City Crews Preparing for Snow

The City’s crews reported at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, February 17, in preparation for another round of snow. Crews will focus on primary streets overnight into tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18, while snow is falling. The bulk of accumulating snow is expected to fall during the day Tuesday, and 4-8 inches is possible. After snow ends, crews will continue working around the clock until all streets are plowed and treated.

Residents are urged not to park on streets and cul-de-sacs if possible. Crews cannot plow if streets or cul-de-sacs are too congested, and they will move on to finish their routes and attempt to return after all other streets are completed. Crews thank you for your help and patience.

Extremely low temperatures are expected over the next few days, which will limit the effectiveness of salt treatments on streets, and snow will continue to be packed to streets even after being plowed and treated. Sunshine and warmer temperatures over the weekend will help with additional melting.
