Upcoming Traffic Changes for the Green Street Project

Upcoming Traffic Changes for the Green Street Project

The Southeast Green Street entrance into the Lee’s Summit City Hall parking lot and garage is expected to reopen this afternoon Thursday, Sept. 26, and will remain open through the weekend for the Oktoberfest event. The Southeast Green Street entrance will close again on Monday, Sept. 30, and access to the City Hall parking lot and garage will once again be from the alley off of Southeast Second Street until approximately the end of November.

Also beginning Monday, Sept. 30, a traffic shift will be in place for eastbound traffic on Southeast Second Street from Southeast Green Street to Southeast Grand Avenue.

Looking ahead, a complete closure of Southeast Second Street from Southeast Green Street to Southeast Grand Avenue is anticipated Oct. 7-18. The detour route includes Southeast Grand Avenue, Southeast Third Street, and Southeast Douglas Street. A separate notification will be sent out regarding this closure.

All work is associated with the Green Street project. Schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.
