Update 7.26.23: This section of roadway is now open. Continued repair work to the area is expected through Friday, July 28, 2023.

A section of SE Melody Lane north of SE 3rd Terrace is closed for repairs. The stormwater crew discovered a sinkhole due to separation of a concrete storm pipe on SE Melody Lane. An update will be provided when available.

Update: This section of NE Columbus Street is now open.

A section of NE Columbus Street just west of M-291 Highway is set to close daily from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning on Mon., May 8, through Fri., May 12, weather permitting.

Update 5/24/23: This section of SE Browning Street is now open to traffic. Update 5/2/23: Work is progressing faster than anticipated and the contractor now intends to start the closure on Mon., May 8. The closure was originally posted to begin Tues., May 9. The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wed., April 19, in the Strother Conference Room on the first floor of City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee's Summit, Mo. 64063, to discuss infrastructure improvements for the Douglas Street corridor from Chipman Road to 2nd Street. The meeting will allow the public to view conceptual plans and exhibits and provide feedback.

The City’s crews prepared trucks and will be called in as needed tonight, Thurs., March 16, and overnight into Fri., March 17, due to the potential for a refreeze. Rain may change over to snow/sleet, and temperatures are expected to drop. High winds should dry out pavements; however, crews will be called in as needed to apply salt treatment in case any wet pavement refreezes.
