Section of SW Jefferson Street Also Closed for SW 3rd Street Utility Work

Update: Phase two of the SW 3^rd Street utility work is now expected to start on Mon., Oct. 17, with the closure of both eastbound and westbound through traffic on SW 3^rd Street from SW Blue Parkway to SW Jefferson Street. The section of SW Jefferson Street from SW 3^rd Street to SW 2^nd Street is expected to be back open by noon on Mon., Oct. 17.

During phase one of the utility work on SW 3^rd Street which started today, a section of SW Jefferson Street from SW 3^rd Street to SW 2^nd Street is also closed to through traffic due to work in the SW 3^rd and SW Jefferson streets intersection. This closure is expected to last for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Westbound SW 3^rd Street traffic should detour north on SW Market Street to SW 2^nd Street, or south on SW Jefferson Street to SW Blue Parkway. Eastbound SW 3^rd Street traffic will technically be allowed through the intersection during this timeframe; however, this is only for phase one of the utility work.

Beginning approximately Oct. 24, SW 3^rd Street from SW Blue Parkway to SW Jefferson Street will be closed to both eastbound and westbound through traffic. Detour routes are SW 2^nd Street and SW Blue Parkway. Local access on SW 3^rd Street will be maintained at all times.
