Section of Northwest Bent Tree Drive Set to Close Thursday, June 12

A section of Northwest Bent Tree Drive between Northwest Chipman Road and Northwest Bent Tree Circle is set to close on Thursday, June 12, and will remain closed until approximately the end of June. The work is necessary as part of the last phase of the Chipman Road Improvements project. The detour route includes Northwest Bent Tree Circle, Northwest Overbrook Drive, and Northwest High Point Drive. Northwest Chipman Road between View High Drive and Northwest Bent Tree Drive remains closed to through traffic. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

The Chipman Road Improvements project is nearing completion. The project has had some delays due to water line installation; however, final paving is now expected by mid-June. Northwest Chipman Road between View High Drive and Northwest Bent Tree Drive is expected to open to through traffic by the end of July.

It is expected to be a fast moving storm. Drivers should use caution tonight and overnight into Mon., Dec. 26, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. The City will continue to monitor the weather and update its response accordingly.
