City Crews Scheduled to Treat Streets as Needed

The City’s crews are scheduled to report at 7 p.m. to treat streets with salt as needed tonight, Thurs., Jan. 18, and overnight into Fri., Jan. 19.

A flash freeze is possible tonight for any wet pavements or surfaces as temperatures fall, and drivers should use caution especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Accumulation of ¼ inch to 1 inch of snow is expected before midnight. Conditions will be challenging – high winds will cause blowing snow and temperatures in the single digits will limit the effectiveness of salt.

Crews will continue treating streets on Friday as conditions permit. The City will continue to monitor the weather and update its response as needed.
