The City’s crews are plowing and treating residential streets today, Tuesday, Dec. 2. Overnight they completed secondary streets, and made another pass on primary streets due to refreezing and slickness. The City’s crews plowed and treated streets throughout the day today, Monday, Dec. 1, and will continue tonight and overnight into tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 2. Crews plowed and treated primary streets today, and crews will continue working to complete secondary streets and then will move into residential streets. It can take crews 24-48 hours to plow and treat all streets after accumulating snow has ended.

The City’s crews started pre-treating streets this morning, Sunday, Nov. 30, and will continue throughout the day and into this evening ahead of the winter storm forecast for tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 1. READ MORE -->
 

Update: Grand Avenue is now open.
A section of Northeast Grand Avenue between Northeast Ash and Southeast Second streets is closed, and will remain closed for approximately three weeks. The hard closure is between Southeast Lee Haven Drive and Wilson Street. READ MORE -->

The City of Lee’s Summit will once again implement an inclement winter weather route for Northwest Quarry Park Road for the 2025-2026 winter season. The inclement weather route goes through the Clarkson Construction property north of Northwest Quarry Park Road. This route is necessary due to the upcoming winter weather season and the continued closure of Northwest Quarry Park Road west of Northwest Pryor Road.
