The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Strother Conference Room at City Hall, 220 SE Green St. Lee’s Summit, Mo., to discuss infrastructure improvements for the Ward Road corridor from O’Brien to Chipman roads. The meeting will allow the public to view preliminary plans and exhibits, review tentative schedules for right-of-way acquisition and construction, and provide feedback.

The City’s crews are plowing primary and secondary streets today, Tuesday, February 18, as snow continues to fall. An additional 2-4 inches of snow is expected throughout the day today, and crews will need to return to primary streets. The City’s crews reported at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, February 17, in preparation for another round of snow. Crews will focus on primary streets overnight into tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18, while snow is falling. The bulk of accumulating snow is expected to fall during the day Tuesday, and 4-8 inches is possible. The City’s crews completed plowing and treating residential streets early in the morning today, Friday, February 14. Crews will continue working today to complete spot checks and investigate service requests, and will shut down at 3:30 p.m. Warmer temperatures today will help with additional melting. The City is monitoring the forecast for Saturday, February 15, and will have crews and equipment ready in case of ice and/or light snow.  

The City's crews continue to plow and treat residential streets tonight, and will continue overnight into tomorrow, Friday, February 14. Warmer temperatures are expected Friday which should help with additional melting. Snow potential is trending down for Saturday, February 15, but the City will continue to monitor the forecast and update its response as necessary.
