Intersection of Southwest Scherer and Southwest Pryor Roads Set to Close Wednesday, Oct. 22

Update 12/12/25: Southwest Scherer Road is now open.
Update 12/5/25: The closure of Southwest Scherer Road at its intersection with Southwest Pryor Road has been extended by one week. It was originally scheduled to reopen today 12/5/25.

The intersection of Southwest Scherer and Southwest Pryor Roads is set to close on Wednesday, October 22, for approximately forty-five days. The closure is necessary for intersection reconstruction.

Southwest Scherer Road will be closed to thru traffic between Southwest Sampson Road and Southwest Ward Road. The detour route includes Southwest Sampson Road, Southwest Longview Road, and Southwest Ward Road. Southwest Pryor Road will be closed between Southwest Longview Road and to just north of Southwest Eagle View Drive. The detour route includes Southwest Longview Road, Southwest Ward Road, and Southwest Hook Road. 

Sections of Southwest Pryor Road originally closed on June 30. After the Southwest Scherer and Pryor roads intersection reconstruction is completed, Southwest Scherer Road will reopen to thru traffic; however, sections of Southwest Pryor Road between Southwest Longview and Southwest Scherer roads and between Southwest Scherer and Southwest Hook will remain closed until Spring 2026.

The intersection of NW Ward and NW O’Brien roads is set to close on Monday, Aug. 24 (rescheduled from Aug. 17), for approximately two months. NW Ward Road will be closed to through traffic between NW Blue Parkway and NW Chipman Road. NW O’Brien Road will be closed to through traffic between Executive Way and NW Donovan Road.

The alley between SE 2nd and SE 3rd streets will close weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (updated from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) for installation of a gas main by a utility contractor. The closure is permitted from July 30 through October 16 (extended from Sept. 18 and Aug. 28).

NW Ward Lane is closed between NW Village Drive and NW Ward Road for concrete repair over a stormwater line. The hard closure is just east of NW Village Drive.

The section of Pryor Road between Eagle View Drive and Scherer Road is now open. There is one lane of traffic open in each direction and lanes will be delineated with channelizers while construction continues. The Eagle View Drive intersection will be controlled by stop signs.
