The closure is necessary for stormwater line repairs across the street. Steel plates will be used so the street can be open when the crew is not onsite. Drivers should use Northeast Colbern Road for access to Northeast Rice Road north of the closure area. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. The hard closure will be between 1707 and 1725 Northeast Rice Road. The detour route includes Northeast Mulberry Avenue, Northeast Independence Avenue, and Northeast Colbern Road.
