SE Second Street Closure Extended

SE Second Street Closure Extended

The closure of SE Second Street has been extended to SE Green Street. The section of SE 2nd Street from SE Green to SE Eastridge streets is now expected to remain closed through mid-May. Intermittent closures of SE Eastridge Street at SE Second Street are still expected while sanitary sewer work takes place. These closures are necessary for work associated with the Downtown Market Plaza project.

City Hall Plaza will also be closed beginning April 1, and will remain closed through the duration of the project.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

A section of Northeast Ball Drive just south of Northeast Colbern Road is set to be closed for the day on Saturday, Jan. 17. The detour route includes Northeast Rice Road, Northeast Mulberry Street, Northeast Todd George Parkway, and Northeast Colbern Road. A contractor will be doing utility work at this location.

The detour route includes Southeast Onyx Drive, Southeast Third Street, and Southeast Battery Drive.

A section of Northeast Hagan Road between Northeast Strother Road and Northeast Jones Industrial Drive will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this week. The detour route includes Northeast Jones Industrial Drive, Northeast Independence Avenue, and Northeast Strother Road.

A section of Southeast Browning Street between Southeast Eighth Street and Southeast Blue Parkway is set to close on Monday, Jan. 19, for approximately two weeks. The hard closure is between Southeast Ninth Street and Southeast Blue Parkway. The detour route includes Southeast Douglas Street, Southeast Seventh Street, Southeast Green Street, and Southeast Eighth Street.
