Northwest Colbern Road Improvements Project Traffic Changes Set for Friday, June 14

Update 6/13/24: These traffic changes are delayed until next Wednesday, June 19.

Phase one of the Northwest Colbern Road Improvements project is nearing completion, and phase two traffic changes are set to begin on Friday, June 14.

The section of Northwest Colbern Road from approximately Missouri Route 350 to east of the roundabout at NW Blue Parkway is set to reopen, and a section of Northwest Colbern Road between the roundabout and Northeast Douglas Street is set to close. Drivers will use Missouri Route 350 to access the west end of Northwest Colbern Road, and Northeast Douglas Street to access the east end of Northwest Colbern Road. The detour route remains Northeast Douglas Street, Interstate 470, and Missouri Route 350.

Northwest Blue Parkway between Interstate 470 and the roundabout at Northwest Colbern Road is also set to reopen on Friday, June 14.

Phase one project closures originally began on Sept. 5, 2023. Northwest Colbern Road from Missouri Route 350 to Northeast Douglas Street will remain closed to through traffic until spring 2025.

All schedules are weather permitting and are subject to change.

City Crews Set to Continue Plowing and Treating Residential Streets Overnight into Wednesday, Jan. 8

The City’s crews plowed and treated residential streets today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, and are set to continue plowing and treating residential streets overnight into Wednesday, Jan. 8. Crews are 21% complete with residential streets, and 56% complete overall.  Parked vehicles on streets are slowing progress. Residents can help the snow control process by moving vehicles and other obstructions from streets.

City Crews Plowing and Treating Residential Streets Today, Tuesday, January 7

The City’s crews are plowing and treating residential streets today, Tuesday, January 7. Crews are 100% complete with primary and secondary streets, and approximately 7% complete with residential. Overall as of 7 a.m. this morning, crews were 48% complete with snow operations. Crews will be working around the clock today and into tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, to plow and treat all residential streets.

City Crews Plowing and Treating Secondary Streets Tonight, Monday, January 6

The City's crews are plowing and treating secondary streets tonight, Monday, January 6, and are currently 54% complete. Primary streets are 100% complete. Work began on some residential streets today but will intensify tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 7. Overall, crews are 37% complete. Crews are scheduled to continue plowing and treating streets through Wednesday.

The City’s crews are set to continue plowing and treating streets today, Monday, January 6, and will continue until all streets are plowed and treated. Crews were finishing up a primary route this morning and working in secondary streets. Ice and snow will remain packed to pavements even after being plowing and treated.
