Intersection of Southeast Third Street and Southeast Greystone Drive Set to Close Daily Beginning Dec. 10

The intersection of Southeast Third Street and Southeast Greystone Drive is set to close daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Wednesday, December 10, and lasting until December 24. The detour route includes Southeast Todd George Parkway, Northeast Langsford Road, Southeast Keystone Drive, and Southeast Flagstone Drive.

Southeast Third Street will be closed to through traffic between Southeast Todd George Parkway and Southeast Flagstone Drive. Southeast Greystone Drive will be closed to through traffic between Southeast Todd George Parkway and Northeast Langsford Road.

The closure is necessary for stormwater improvements associated with the EFLB Area 3 and 4 Stormwater project, and work includes the installation of new stormwater pipe, water main relocations, and pavement restoration. A section of southbound Northeast Douglas Street between Northeast Ash and Northeast Elm streets is closed daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for gas main installation by a contractor. The work will then move north one block and southbound Northeast Douglas Street will be closed daily between Northeast Forest Avenue and Northeast Ash Street. Work is permitted through Oct. 6.

All eastbound traffic on Southwest Third Street has been shifted to the north between Southwest Blue Parkway and Southwest Jefferson Street. Southwest Noel Street north of Southwest Third Street is now open.

Southwest Third Street between Southwest Blue Parkway and Southwest Jefferson Street remains closed to westbound traffic.

Southwest Oldham Parkway at Route 291 and Southwest Jefferson Street between Southwest Oldham Parkway and Southwest Persels Road are closed, and will remain closed through December. These phase two closures are in addition to the existing phase one Southwest Oldham Parkway closure, and the detour ties in with the existing detour.

A utility contractor closed a section of Northeast County Park Road at Northeast Colbern Road for concrete restoration. Work started today, and is permitted through Aug. 15. A detour route is posted and includes Northeast Colbern Road, Northeast Bren Mar Road, and Northeast Lake Shore Drive. This section of Northeast County Park Road is owned by Jackson County.
