Chipman Road Traffic Changes Set for Aug. 7

Changes to local traffic access on Chipman Road between View High Drive and Bent Tree Drive are expected to begin on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The section of Chipman Road from Cedar Creek Lane to just west of the pedestrian bridge will open to local traffic, while the sections of Chipman Road from View High Drive to Cedar Creek Lane and just west of the pedestrian bridge to Bent Tree Drive will close. The new entrance to Cedar Creek Lane is expected to be complete at the same time, and traffic from the Cedar Creek subdivision will be routed through the Edgewood Trail subdivision to View High Drive.

The section of Chipman Road between View High Drive and Cedar Creek Lane is scheduled to take approximately two months to complete. The section of Chipman Road between just west of the pedestrian bridge and Bent Tree Drive is scheduled to take approximately four months to complete.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

Construction for the Chipman Road Improvements project began in mid-July 2023, and is expected to continue until late spring 2025. Chipman Road between View High Drive and Bent Tree Drive will remain closed to through traffic for the duration of the project.

Section of Northeast Maybrook Road Set to Close for Bridge Repairs on Wednesday, March 12

A section of Northeast Maybrook Road between Northeast Anderson Drive and Northeast Saint Andrews Circle is set to close to thru traffic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, for bridge repairs. The wooden bridge on Northeast Maybrook Road will be closed during repairs and traffic is encouraged to use Northeast Anderson Drive as a detour route. The repairs are expected to last one day, weather permitting.

The City’s crews completed snow operations at 3:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 5. Crews treated primary and secondary streets today until warming pavement temperatures and sunshine melted ice and snow from streets.

City Crews Treating Primary Streets this Morning

The City’s crews are treating primary streets this morning, Wednesday, March 5. Streets were slushy overnight but froze quickly earlier this morning. Crews will move into secondary streets if necessary, and will continue treating streets until pavement temperatures rise above freezing and melting occurs. Drivers should use caution especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
