A section of NE Independence Avenue between NE Orchard Street and SE 2^nd Street is set to close on Tuesday, April 28, for approximately two days for pavement restoration. The hard closure is between SE 2^nd Street and 209 NE Independence Ave. The detour route includes NE Orchard Street, NE Grand Avenue, and SE 2^nd Street.

A section of SW Robin Road north of SW 2^nd Street is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for installation of a gas main by a utility contractor. The work is permitted through April 16. The detour route is SW Donovan Road.

Beginning today, Monday, April 6, the northern intersection of Eagle Creek Drive and Pryor Road is now closed until mid-June 2026. Residents of Eagle Creek will use the southern intersection of Eagle Creek Drive and Pryor Road to travel south to Hook Road. The intersection of Eagle View Drive and Pryor Road also closed today, Monday, April 6, and the intersection of Longview and Pryor Roads will close on Monday, April 13. READ MORE -->

Beginning Thursday, April 30 (rescheduled from April 23), NW Lake Drive between Woods Chapel Road and Lakewood Boulevard will close to through traffic for approximately 15 days for the installation of speed humps and a raised crosswalk. The hard closure will be between Hickory Street and Greenview Drive by the Lakewood Aquatic Center, 4105 NW Lake Dr. The detour route includes Lakewood Boulevard, Lee’s Summit Road, and Woods Chapel Road.

Beginning Monday, April 6, the intersection of Eagle View Drive and Pryor Road will be closed through mid-June 2026. Drivers should use Eagle Creek Drive as the designated detour route.

Beginning Monday, April 13, Longview Road will close at Pryor Road for approximately 30 days. Sections of Pryor Road will also be closed to traffic between 3rd Street and Hook Road. READ MORE -->
