Public Invited to Pryor Road Improvements Public Meeting

The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting for the Pryor Road Improvements project from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at Fire Station 7, 2150 SW Scherer Road, Lee’s Summit, MO  64082. The meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the Pryor Road Improvements from Longview Road to Hook Road and to meet the contractor, Clarkson Construction Company.

The meeting is an open house-style format and there will be no formal presentation, allowing those interested to come and go as schedules allow. This meeting will be attended by City staff, representatives from the project’s design engineer TranSystems, and contractor Clarkson Construction. Project exhibits will be available for public inspection at the meeting and online at https://cityofls.net/pryor-road.

Project improvements include roadway widening to two lanes in each direction with curb and gutter and enclosed storm drainage, additional turn lanes and signal improvements, a divided median, improved roadway lighting, added pedestrian and cycling features such as continuous sidewalk and multiuse path, utility relocations, and access management modifications.

The Pryor Road Improvements project is expected to start the week of March 17, 2025, with construction activities such as tree clearing and ongoing utility relocations.
