A section of Northeast Rice Road between Northeast Colbern Road and Northeast Mulberry Avenue is set to close on Monday, November 17, for approximately three weeks. The hard closure will be between 1707 and 1725 Northeast Rice Road.  The detour route includes Northeast Mulberry Avenue, Northeast Independence Avenue, and Northeast Colbern Road. The closure is necessary for water main rehabilitation work.

The City of Lee’s Summit is holding a snow dry run from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 5, to allow crews to prepare for the upcoming 2025-2026 winter weather season.
