On April 3, 2018, a municipal election will be held for Mayor, one Councilmember in each of the four Lee’s Summit City Council Districts and for Municipal Judge Division 243, each for a four-year term.  There will be one additional seat in District 4 for a 2 year term. Weekend Closure of the Eastbound Lanes of NW Chipman Road Bridge Begins Friday, Sept. 15

The eastbound lanes of the NW Chipman Road Bridge between NW Commerce Drive and NW Donovan Road are set to close at 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, and will remain closed until 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to complete an epoxy overlay to seal the bridge deck.

Water line improvements ensure reliable services for future growth, existing customers

Lee's Summit Water Utilities is making improvements to the water distribution system to meet the projected demands of future growth and to increase the level of service for the existing customers located in the southeast portion of the Utility's service area. The City's contractor, Miles Excavating, will break ground this week on a water line improvement project that will upgrade water lines along U.S. 50 Highway from Blackwell Road to Harris Road.
