Public Art Scavenger Hunt

Join the Cultural Arts Division at the April Fourth Friday Art Walk (hosted by Downtown Lee's Summit Main Street) for a family-friendly public art scavenger hunt. Go on a fun-filled exploration of public art around downtown. The more art you discover the bigger the prizes to win!

Community Art: Build a Sustainable Sculpture

Local sculpture artist Lily Erb guides the community during the May Fourth Friday Art Walk to create a sculpture inspired by the Downtown Sculpture Walk using everyday materials and recyclables. Learn how artists use sustainable practices to keep materials out of landfills. Create your very own mini sculpture to take home or contribute to the larger community sculpture.

Show Me Neighborhood Art Week

Join the Cultural Arts Division and University of Missouri Extension in the new statewide community public art project. Come together with your family, friends and neighbors to create outdoor art in your yard or shared neighborhood spaces. Registered sites will be entered into a statewide competition and eligible for several awards including Judges' Choice and People's Choice awards.

The deadline to register is May 24, 2024.

June 15 | 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Pollinator Festival

The City will kick off National Pollinator Week (June 17-23) with a pollinator festival at Lowenstein Park on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several local nonprofit organizations committed to protecting and supporting our local pollinators and their ecosystems will be there with family-friendly learning and engaging kids activities.
