Public Art

Downtown Sculpture Walk

The Downtown Sculpture Walk is an annual outdoor public art program featuring vibrant and unique three-dimensional artworks. Each spring brings a new sculpture exhibit to Downtown Lee’s Summit area created by professional artists from across the country and our own community. Sculptures are displayed on loan to the City for a period of one year and are available for purchase.

Interested in purchasing a sculpture? Call 816.969.1032 for more information on how to add one of the sculptures to your home or business.

The Downtown Sculpture Walk is made possible through a collaboration between the Cultural Arts Division, Lee’s Summit Arts Council, and Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street. Funding support is provided in part by the Cultural Arts Division and Downtown Community Improvement District.

The City has partnered with Otocast to provide a convenient mobile audio guide in efforts to make the public art more accessible to residents and visitors. The public art audio guide includes the location, images and description of each piece. Artists have also provided audio descriptions of their artwork and the creative process giving listeners the opportunity to learn directly from the artist.
