Unified Development Ordinance (UDO)
The City of Lee's Summit has combined all its zoning regulations and subdivision platting regulations into one ordinance, called the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
The UDO was adopted in 2001 and went into effect on November 1, 2001. It has been amended numerous times since then, in an effort to keep up with local and national trends, as well as to make corrections and make the regulations more clear. The articles (or chapters) that make up the UDO are shown below, along with the date of the latest amendment to each article. Since the UDO is a very lengthy document, each article is a separate document, so you can view or print only the ones needed. If you have any questions, please contact the Planning and Development Department at 816-969-1600.
