Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street
Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street, Inc.(DLSMS) is a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Lee’s Summit. DLSMS hosts over 100 days of community events including Fourth Friday Art Walks, Music in the Park and Downtown Days.
Historical Society of Lee’s Summit Museum
The Lee’s Summit History Museum contains maps, photographs and artifacts of early Lee’s Summit. Displays include a re-creation of the Vogue Theater, a WPA kitchen, exhibit on local prominent musical families, and an exhibit highlighting Lee’s Summit notorious resident, Cole Younger.
Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation
From the Rock the Amp summer concert series at Legacy Park Amphitheater to classes for all ages, Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation offers a variety of arts, culture and entertainment programming.
Lee’s Summit Symphony
Since 2003, the Lee’s Summit Symphony has been an integral part of Eastern Jackson County’s cultural landscape, enriching the community through a quality, passionate symphony. Through classic and pops concerts, special guest performances by local musicians, and special outreach and performance opportunities, the Lee’s Summit Symphony is an innovative leader in the local arts community.
Summit Art is a membership organization for local visual artists committed to engaging the public through exhibitions, scholarships and art class offerings at GOT Art Gallery on Third in Downtown Lee’s Summit. Summit Art also hosts the annual Summit Art Festival that features over 90 juried artists from across the country.
Summit Theatre Group
Summit Theatre Group provides residents of Lee’s Summit and surrounding areas with enjoyable live theatre opportunities and experiences. Summit Theatre Group present an annual season of theatrical plays and musicals and hosts a summer theatre camp for students.
