Be a Public CPR Responder

PulsePoint Respond is a free 911-connected mobile app that alerts citizens trained in hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when CPR is needed nearby in a public location.

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time. PulsePoint empowers CPR-trained citizens to help improve patient outcomes and save lives by initiating CPR earlier and increasing the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) before emergency responders arrive on the scene.

How Does It Work?

PulsePoint Respond is integrated directly into the public safety communications center. When a 911 call taker determines CPR may be needed, an alert is simultaneously sent to nearby PulsePoint Respond subscribers with the dispatch of emergency responders. Subscribers indicate via the app if they intend to respond. They are directed to the victim's location and notified of the nearest AEDs.

Register Your AED

Does your business or organization have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)? Please take a moment to add this valuable lifesaving tool to our PulsePoint AED Registry. Registered AEDs are accessible to emergency call takers and disclosed to those nearby during cardiac arrest events.

In addition to using the PulsePoint AED app, community members can report AED locations directly on the PulsePoint website.

Watch this brief video to see how easy it is to add an AED to the public AED registry.

AED Map

Finding an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can help save a life when a cardiac emergency strikes. But that takes knowing where AEDs are located. Use this interactive map, which displays the community AED registry, to learn where publicly accessible AEDs are near you.
