Beginning on October 2, City Council meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings instead of Thursdays. All meetings will begin at 6 p.m.

Accessing Water Utilities bills for school enrollment/registration

School enrollment is one of the first signs that summer is winding down. The Lee’s Summit Water Utilities Department would like to remind parents that as a part of the school enrollment and registration process, you may be asked to provide proof of residency. Lee’s Summit Water Utilities would like to make this process as easy as possible for our customers. Listed below are options to access your water bill for school enrollment.

Public Hearings for New Overlay District along M-150 Corridor

The City of Lee’s Summit will have two public hearings for residents and property owners to provide comments about the M-150 Corridor Development Overlay (CDO) district proposed to be placed on this corridor. The public hearings will be held in the Council Chambers of Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green St., during the following meetings:

The next “A Moment with the Mayor” event will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at the Downtown Farmers Market, the corner of Second and Douglas streets in Lee’s Summit. Look for the City of Lee’s Summit booth to chat one-on-one with Mayor Randy Rhoads about City topics in the news.

Heat Advisory July 9th, 2013

A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon today until 7:00 p.m. tonight. Temperatures will climb into the upper 90’s today with heat indices’ between 103 and 105 degrees.

Lee's Summit City Hall is among Facilities Closed on July 4

Legacy Blast Fireworks Extravaganza is Wednesday, July 3 at Legacy Park (south entrance opens at 6 p.m.)

Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220, SE Green St., will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.  Also closed on the Fourth of July holiday are Lee’s Summit Municipal Court, 10 NE Tudor Road; the Resource Recovery Park and the South Recycling Center, 2101 SE Hamblen Road; and the North Recycling Center, 1951 NE Douglas St.
