Facility Closings in Observance of Memorial Day Holiday on May 30

Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green St., and the Lee’s Summit Municipal Court, 10 NE Tudor, will be closed on Mon., May 30, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The following City facilities will be either closed or have reduced hours of operation as a result of the holiday:

Blackwell Road Interchange Informational Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, May 31

The City of Lee’s Summit and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host an informational meeting about the US 50 Highway and Blackwell Road Interchange Improvements from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, in the Lee’s Summit Medical Center Arbor Room, 2100 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, Mo. The purpose of the meeting is to provide residents with a project update including details about the construction process and timelines.

Art & Artifacts Fair in Observance of Historic Preservation Month is Sat., May 14

Enjoy viewing artifacts with historical significance as you learn about the history of our community at the City’s third annual Art & Artifacts Fair on Sat., May 14, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Historical Society of Lee’s Summit Museum, 220 SW Main St., downtown Lee’s Summit.

Features of City’s New Digital Legislative Information Center Unveiled

The City of Lee’s Summit’s new innovative, digital Legislative Information Center officially launched on Sun., May 1, to provide easier online access to agendas, minutes and videos for meetings of the City Council, Committees, Boards and Commissions. Look for Legislative Information Center – LSTV on the homepage of the City’s website (cityofls.net) or visit the site directly at LSmo.legistar.com.
