Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

"Green on Green" Sustainability Fair is October 8

Learn how to “Green” your home, lifestyle and wallet!


Reducing, reusing and recycling can be incorporated into all aspects of our life from home to everyday activities. That will be the message of more than 20 vendors participating in the City of Lee’s Summit’s second “Green on Green” Sustainability Fair. The fair is FREE and will be Saturday, October 8 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Green Street between 2nd and 3rd streets in downtown Lee’s Summit, MO.


Lee's Summit Safe Cities Celebration

Saturday October 8, 2011 the police department will host the Lee’s Summit Safe City Celebration event sponsored by RED Development from 10 to 4 pm. at the Summit Fair shopping center in Lee’s Summit. Summit Fair is conveniently located at the southeast corner of Interstate 470 and Highway 50, just east of Summit Woods Crossing.
