Lee’s Summit, Mo. – On 9/19/2011 at 9:20 p.m., officers from the Lee’s Summit Police Department were called to the scene of an injury accident involving two vehicles in the southbound lanes of 291 Highway near Hook Road. Both vehicles were travelling in the southbound lanes of 291 Highway when the accident occurred. The vehicles and occupants were identified as:
Vehicle #1 – Red, 2006 Ford F-series pickup
Driver: Nathan Hamilton, an 18 year old male from Lee’s Summit, Not injured
Passenger: Jacob Boyd, an 18 year old male from Lee’s Summit, taken to an area hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries.
Vehicle #2 – Gray, 2005 Honda Civic
Driver: Remington Pearce, an 18 year old male from Raymore, MO – transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Passenger: a 16 year old male from Raymore, MO – transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. (name withheld, juvenile)
The accident occurred after the red Ford pickup struck the rear of the Honda Civic before leaving the roadway. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. At this time, no citations or charges have been issued.
