Did you know your Alexa device can now update you on what is happening in Lee's Summit?
The City of Lee’s Summit is launching an additional method for residents to receive the latest City news through an Amazon Alexa-enabled device, such as Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show and Echo Spot. The free Alexa Flash Briefing skill provides a quick overview of City news, information and events that citizens will want to know about.
Smartphone or tablet users can enable the Flash Briefing skill on their device through the Alexa app. Once the app is open, click the “Menu” icon in the upper left corner of the app and choose “Skills & Games.” Type “City of Lee’s Summit” in the search bar and click the “Search” button. Next tap the listing for “City of Lee’s Summit” and click “Enable Skill.”
Another option to enable the Flash Briefing skill is to simply ask Alexa, “Enable City of Lee’s Summit.”
Once enabled, a user can ask an Alexa-enabled device, “Give me my Flash Briefing” to hear the latest updates from the City of Lee's Summit. Flash Briefing content will be updated weekly.
How to Enable the Flash Briefing Skill
