William A. Lewis

The Honorable William A. Lewis is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University - M.A. in Elementary Education and B.S. in Education (History), and the University of Missouri at Kansas City - J.D. 1975. He was appointed Municipal Judge of Division 243 of the Lee's Summit Municipal Court in October, 1976 and was most recently re-elected in April, 2006. He is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. He served as 1984-85 President of the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association. He also served as 1991-92 President of Downtown Lee's Summit Main Street, Inc. and frequently lectures before local civic and school groups. Prior to entering law, Judge Lewis was a school teacher and school principal in Lee's Summit.
James M. Tobin
The Honorable James M. Tobin is a graduate of Rockhurst College - B.A., 1971, and the University of Missouri School of Law, J.D. 1976. He holds a commission as Colonel, Judge Advocate General's Corps, United States Army Reserve. He deployed overseas with his Reserve unit January, 2003 and returned from Iraq in February, 2004.
Tobin has served as Municipal Judge in Lee's Summit since October, 1989 and was most recently re-elected in April, 2008. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, National Assocation for Court Management, and is a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served as 1995-96 President of the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association. He has also served as part-time instructor at Kansas City Metropolitan Community Colleges.
