Starting salary is low-mid $30’s annually DOQ plus an excellent benefit package.
The successful candidate should posses a general knowledge of construction practices and will participate in the enforcement of City ordinances dealing with property maintenance, zoning, dangerous buildings and other related issues. Duties include responding to public complaints, investigation of properties, database searches, preparation and distribution of investigative reports and correspondence, providing information to the public.
A Bachelor’s degree in public administration, criminal justice, or construction management is preferred. Any combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent communication and computer skills are required. ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Certification within 12 months of employment is required.
