This position is responsible for managing the operations of all functions of the Finance Department to include managing specific accounting functions to include debt and treasury management, financial analysis activities, citywide budgeting functions and financial reporting. Will work with the Finance Director in the development and administration of the department budget.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business with an emphasis in accounting required and five years of experience in accounts receivable/payable, budgeting, governmental accounting, auditing or construction accounting required. Must have thorough knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) rules and thorough knowledge of internal auditing practices.
