Lee's Summit Water Utilities is dedicated to providing reliable water and sanitary sewer services responsibly and efficiently for the health and safety of our community with exceptional customer service, integrity and pride.

Community Sewer Rehabilitation

Did you know there are nearly 500 miles of public sewer mains underneath the City of Lee’s Summit? In addition to inspecting and cleaning these lines every day, Lee’s Summit Water Utilities is currently rehabilitating several miles of sewer lines in most need of repair through a process which essentially installs a pipe within a pipe and is specifically designed for minimal impact and disruption to neighborhoods and customers.

The sewer rehabilitation project reduces blockages caused by roots and debris and the infiltration of groundwater in the public main, which reduces surcharges, overflows and backups.

For more information about this process, call 816-969-1900

That includes inspection, cleaning, maintenance, repair and/or replacement if necessary. Here are some other things you should know about your water and sewer service lines:

Lee’s Summit Water Utilities invests in City’s unseen, but vital infrastructure

Lee’s Summit is home to more than 600 miles of water mains and 480 miles of sanitary sewer infrastructure – all largely unseen, but vital to the health and safety of our community. There are several projects underway to improve the effectiveness and life-cycle of this infrastructure.

Having trouble accessing Utility Link or registering for Parks activities?

The City recently made changes to the security settings on secured City websites including Utility Link, the online water bill payment system, and the Parks and Recreation web registration system. These changes were required by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, and are vital to protecting the security of customer credit card information.

Temporary Road Closure for Cedar Creek Interceptor Project Construction

SW Forestpark Boulevard between SW Third Street and SW Waterfall Drive in Lee’s Summit, Mo., is temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, July 21, and is anticipated to remain closed until late September 2015, weather depending. Alternate access is available via SW Longview Road. The temporary closure is necessary for sewer line construction as part of the improvements to the Cedar Creek sanitary sewer interceptor
