• The Lee’s Summit Police Department is seeking community feedback through its annual Citizen Satisfaction Survey, open through December 14.

• A new Lee’s Summit Police Department satellite office at Summit Fair will give officers another way to connect with businesses, increase visibility in one of the City’s major retail areas, and support ongoing efforts to address organized retail crime. 

• The City has launched a new webpage with information about the Lee’s Summit Police Department’s use of automated license plate readers (ALPR), commonly known as Flock cameras.
• Created in response to public questions, the page explains how ALPR technology is used, the safeguards around the data, and current efforts to review policies and regional data-sharing practices.

The public is invited to join us for the ribbon cutting for our new South Substation on Thursday, 8/21/2025 at 4:30 p.m.  

Keynote speakers will begin at 4:30 followed by the ribbon cutting and tours of the new facility.
