The City's Citizens Leadership Academy is an interactive program that will help answer those questions and more! Tour facilities and learn about the inner workings of city government from City leaders and elected officials. Participants will attend seven sessions, two Saturdays a month, from 8 a.m. to noon at various City facilities. Sessions begin in January and conclude in April.

Eligibility
The Citizens Leadership Academy is open to Lee's Summit residents and business owners. There is no fee for participation. Applicants must be able to attend all sessions. Please do not apply if you have previously participated in Citizen's Leadership Academy.
Application
Applications can be submitted online. There will be space for 20 participants in the 2025 Citizens Leadership Academy class. Applications are due by December 13.
