The City's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facility is located within the City's Resource Recovery Park, 2101 SE Hamblen Road. See map.
The City's HHW facility accepts most residential cleaners and hazardous products; however, certain materials cannot be accepted, as identified in the following table:

*The City's HHW facility is open, by appointment only, the first Saturday of the month (April to November) and the third Wednesday of the month (year round).
**Automotive batteries can also be recycled at local tire & battery shops.
Rechargeable dry-cell batteries can also be recycled at Best Buy or Batteries Plus.
***CFLs can also be recycled at Home Depot.
**** Empty containers and dried paint can be placed in residential trash as long
as the lid is removed.

Please bring liquid and granular waste in their original, labeled containers, if possible.
Staff reserves the right to refuse any questionable materials.
