The City's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facility is located within the City's Resource Recovery Park,
2101 SE Hamblen Road. See map.
SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE
With an appointment, residents and members of participating communities can properly dispose of up to
100 pounds of their unwanted RESIDENTIAL HHW per household per appointment per day at no charge.
The City's HHW facility accepts most RESIDENTIAL cleaners and hazardous products; however, certain materials cannot be accepted, as identified in the following table:
NOTE: One full gallon of paint = 10 pounds
Materials NOT Accepted
- COMMERCIAL waste
- dried paint *
- empty containers *
- leaking containers
- wax products
- cooking oil (except peanut oil)
- electronics (computer components, chargers, etc.)
- medical waste or syringes
- radioactive waste
- known PCB waste

Remove the lid and discard directly into your trash.
Please bring materials in their original, labeled containers, if possible.
Staff reserves the right to refuse any questionable materials.
